E+M No. 19 Dress

Why, hello there! Remember when  I was blogging about my sewing creations on a regular basis? I went on a short little hiatus from sewing due to the fact that we moved to WYOMING!! With all that goes into moving across state lines (with three small children), there was no way I could justify spending my time at the sewing machine. It was a sad time for me, in a lot of ways. But the craziness of the move is now over, and I have been super busy sewing up a pre-school wardrobe for my little Avery. So stay tuned, those blog posts are coming soon.

About a week before we got the news about our move to Wyoming, I was honored to be a tester for E+M's No. 19 dress. I was assigned to do the size 2 with the short sleeve option. It can also be made sleeveless, cap sleeves, or a flutter sleeve.

Picking fabric is always what takes me the longest. I finally settled on a rust rayon fabric I had in my stash. I love how flowy rayon is - I think it was perfect for this pattern.

I love the way the elastic casing was designed in this dress. It makes it so the top of the dress drapes so nicely. And those pleats! I love little details like that.
Definitely a keeper of a pattern. So glad I was able to be a part of the testing process.

City Girl Heidi

I spend a lot of time, more than I'd like to admit, searching for new PDF patterns to oogle at. I felt like I had found most of the great designers the interwebs had to offer....then I stumbled upon Lil' Luxe Collection and my mind was blown. So many beautiful patterns! The first one I purchased was the City Girl Romper.
If any there was ever a pattern that is really addicting to sew, it is this one. Seriously. I have so many more of these planned out in my head its ridiculous.
Here is my City Girl Heidi....who was literally running at me or away from me the ENTIRE photoshoot. Just stand still little girl!

The Janet Top

Last week I was selected, honored, and privileged to be a pattern tester for Popolok Design's newest pattern, the Janet Top. It is scheduled to be released this Friday, and it will be on sale as well.

This is the sweetest little top, with SOOO many variations. I think there are something like 5 collar options and 4 sleeve options. Mathematicians out there, how many possibilities is that?? Its a lot, okay. A lot.

I ended up making two blouses to submit as a tester.

For my first one, I went super simple: collarless and sleeveless and I used fabric that I already had on hand.

The Limon Top

As I said in my previous post, I am basically addicted to buying PDF patterns as of late. So when Willow & Co. released their Limon top this week, and it was on sale, I knew I had to get it. I had the perfect fabric just waiting for a pattern such as this one.

I took my time with this one because their was so much detail work (i.e. pintucks) and I didn't want to rush it and then constantly stare at any sloppy work anytime Avery wears this top. I am really  pleased with how it turned out. Avery loves it too, her favorite feature are those heart buttons, of course.

I adore the vintage feel of this shirt, and I love me a flowy shirt, especially when this goofball is wearing it.

Thanks for stopping by!
